Oh, the wait is over! Tiger Woods’ Sun Day Red (SDR) gear hit the shelves in the USA, Canada, Japan, and South Korea on May 1. And guess what? Some items flew off the virtual shelves within hours. Talk about a hot drop!
Woods teamed up with TaylorMade to bring this standalone brand to life. They got the ball rolling just before the Genesis Invitational in February. That’s where we first caught a glimpse of Woods rocking some SDR threads. But, plot twist, he had to bow out early from Riviera Country Club. The culprit? Flu-like symptoms. Classic.
Fast forward to April, Woods made a comeback at The Masters. He wasn’t just there to play; he was there to showcase more from SDR. Shoes, gloves, ball markers – you name it, he had it. All stamped with that Californian flair.
The SDR website has this whole spiel about Tiger in red. It’s iconic, like his swing or his laundry list of wins. His mom, Kultida, always thought red was lucky. It symbolized strength and dominance. Once Tiger started winning in red, well, the rest is history.
“Today, the Sunday red is more than superstition. It’s a badge of honor,” the website reads. It’s all about Tiger’s quest for perfection and his mental toughness. Wearing SDR means you’re wearing confidence, on and off the green. You’re carrying a legend’s legacy. You’re part of the story.

Now, about the pricing. It was all hush-hush until the launch. But as soon as the clock struck midnight on Wednesday, bam! Prices were revealed. From polo shirts to caps and tour towels, fans were finally in the know. But, there’s a catch. None of the initial offerings were in red. Irony, much?
The Delta PA polo came in ‘black’, ‘moon’, and ‘hunter’ shades. Priced at $120, the ‘hunter’ version (which is actually peach) sold out like hotcakes. Sizes from small to XXL – gone in a flash.
Then there’s the 3D Knit polo. Also in the same color scheme, but with a $150 price tag. Shortly after launch, only size small was left. Talk about popular.
BREAKING: SDR is here. Prices are out. Ball markers at $50, tees at $70, hats at $40, polos ranging from $120 to $150, sweaters at a cool $200, and pants at $165. The 3D Knit Lightweight hoodies? They’re the priciest tops at $200 each. But, they’re still up for grabs in all sizes. On the cheaper end, we’ve got SDR t-shirts for $70, some already sold out.
For now, SDR’s lineup is all about the gents. Shorts and pants are going for $135 to $165, in shades of black, white, and beige. And hats? There are 10 different styles, from bucket hats to caps, priced between $40 and $50. Don’t forget the gloves ($45), towels ($55), and golf-ball markers ($50).
This initial drop is exclusive to fans in the USA, Canada, Japan, and South Korea. Folks in the UK, Australia, and beyond will have to wait a bit longer. When will SDR be available to them? That’s still up in the air.
