Tiger Woods’ new clothing line, Sun Day Red, might soon be spotted on the PGA Tour. After its introduction in March and official launch in May, this brand, made with TaylorMade, hasn’t been seen much except when Woods himself wore it during his three appearances after The Masters.
The apparel first appeared at the PGA Championship at Valhalla in May and was later showcased at Pinehurst No.2 and Royal Troon for the US Open and Open Championship. Unfortunately, these tournaments didn’t go well for Woods as he missed the cut each time.
Recently, another Stanford graduate was seen sporting a Sun Day Red polo at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship on Sunday. This suggests that Tiger’s logo might become more visible soon.
Karl Vilips, a new PGA Tour graduate from Australia, wore TaylorMade gear for most of the event at French Lick Golf Resort but switched to a Calypso Coral Sun Day Red polo on Sunday. He secured his place in the top US-based Tour for 2025 by doing so. Fans might think it’s exciting to see more players wearing Tiger’s brand.

These shirts are priced at $115 on their website and come in various sizes—quite different from earlier this year when they sold out quickly upon release.

Vilips ended up two-under for the week in Indiana and finished T20th overall. During an interview after the tournament, people noticed he had a special logo on his shirt.
Gabby Herzig from The Athletic wondered if Vilips could be one of the first to sign with Woods’ company once he starts regularly playing on the PGA Tour soon.
Vilips has only played one PGA Tour-recognized event so far—the 2023 US Open—where he didn’t make it past LACC’s cut. His debut as part of the 2025 season won’t happen until January at least since Korn Ferry Tour graduates can start after The Sentry.
Meanwhile, there’s some drama involving Woods’ Sun Day Red brand due to a legal issue over its logo with Tigeraire—a company that makes fans and cooling products for athletes using a tiger symbol too. They claim Sun Day Red “unlawfully hijacked” their design for use by Woods’ endorsed products.
What do you think about all this?
