The LPGA’s top players are heading to the world’s most expensive golf course for a $2 million showdown in Las Vegas.
Shadow Creek Golf Club will host 64 of the best women golfers for the T-Mobile Match Play, where defending champion Nelly Korda looks to continue her incredible run.
The tournament’s got a fresh format this year. Players start in 16 groups of four, battling it out in round-robin matches over the first three days. Only the top player from each group moves on to the weekend’s knockout rounds.
It’s winner-take-all from there until Sunday’s final showdown.
Last year’s winner takes home a cool $300,000 – the same prize Korda earned when she beat Leona Maguire 4&3 in 2024. That victory was part of Korda’s remarkable streak of four straight LPGA wins.
The field is stacked with star power:
- World-class players like Lydia Ko (23 LPGA wins)
- Major champions Celine Boutier and Brooke Henderson
- Rising stars Rose Zhang and Charley Hull
- Top-ranked players Haeran Ryu, Ruoning Yin, and Jin Young Ko
Prize Money Breakdown
- Winner: $300,000
- Runner-up: $189,207
- 3rd/4th: $121,718
- 5th-8th: $66,298
- 9th-16th: $35,932
The tournament’s venue, Shadow Creek, recently hosted "The Showdown" where PGA Tour stars Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler faced off against LIV Golf’s Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka.
With match play’s head-to-head format and golf’s most expensive course as the backdrop, this week promises plenty of drama as the world’s best women golfers compete for the title.
