Team Europe has announced its 12-player lineup for the 2024 Solheim Cup at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia.
The event kicks off on Friday, September 13 and wraps up on Sunday, September 15. Europe aims to keep their winning streak alive since 2019.
Team USA has only won two of the last seven Solheim Cups, while Europe has secured two away victories during this period.
USA leads the overall series 10-8. Last year’s competition ended in a historic tie at Finca Cortesin in Spain with a scoreline of 14-14, allowing Europe to retain the trophy. Captain Suzann Pettersen is bringing back a similar team to ensure they hit at least 14 points again.
Two European players qualified through the Solheim Cup points list, six more made it based on world rankings, and four were chosen as wildcards by Pettersen. Here’s Team Europe’s full roster for the upcoming Solheim Cup:

Charley Hull is one of Europe’s top players. Currently ranked World No.11, she will make her seventh appearance in the Solheim Cup next year. Hull topped the LET’s points list by a significant margin but only managed one point last year. She hopes to be more impactful this time around. Esther Henseleit had an impressive year with four top-10 finishes on the LPGA Tour and an Olympic silver medal in Paris. The German golfer narrowly trailed Hull in points despite playing fewer events and is set for her debut at Robert Trent Jones. Fans might think that Team Europe’s consistency could give them an edge this year. Celine Boutier hasn’t lost a Solheim Cup match while part of Team Europe since her debut in 2019 but struggled last year despite being World No.9. She aims to improve her performance this time around. Maja Stark had a strong debut last year and continued her excellent form into 2024, finishing fourth in LET’s points standings despite limited appearances. Linn Grant played all five matches on her debut last year and performed well with three wins. She finished third in the points list just below Maja Stark. Leona Maguire has an outstanding record of 7-2-1 from her previous appearances and aims to maintain it as she gears up for another round against Team USA. Carlota Ciganda is already considered a legend with six previous appearances and was pivotal in securing victory for Europe last time out with clutch birdies against Korda on Singles Sunday. Madelene Sagstrom qualified based on world ranking after being a captain’s pick last year. She hopes to leverage her experience to help secure another win for Team Europe. Georgia Hall missed automatic qualification by just two spots but was picked as one of Pettersen’s wildcards due to her solid record over four previous appearances. Anna Nordqvist will make her ninth appearance thanks to another wildcard selection after five top-15 results across major tours this season. Emily Kristine Pedersen also received a wildcard pick again after featuring prominently last year with mixed results but valuable experience gained from all five sessions she participated in. Albane Valenzuela joins as another debutant alongside Henseleit; she brings good energy and solid performances from recent years including top finishes at major events like Chevron Championship and Paris Olympics.
