Social Media Buzz Over Excited Pup at Alfred Dunhill Links Championship

Excited pup steals the show at Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

A funny video on social media shows Gareth Bale’s golf ball being fetched by a playful dog during the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

In the clip shared by @DarrenMcRae3 on Twitter, Bale hits a shot at St Andrews, and just as the ball lands near the flag, a dog runs onto the green, picks it up, and brings it back to him.

The video quickly went viral, even catching the attention of DP World Tour’s social media. According to USGA rules: “If your ball is moved by an outside influence, such as an animal or a spectator, there is no penalty to anyone and the ball must be replaced.”

Funny Moments in Golf:

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time something like this has happened. Back in 2012 at Kingsbarns, Paul Casey had his golf ball retrieved by another curious dog. And let’s not forget Brad Fabel’s experience in 1998 when a bird flew off with his ball at TPC Sawgrass!

Fans might think these moments add a touch of humor to the game.

Social media users had plenty to say about Bale’s canine encounter:

Dogs seem to enjoy golf courses too! What do you think about these unexpected furry interruptions?
