Scottie Scheffler Swing Changes Impact

Scottie Scheffler made a strong comeback at the Travelers Championship with a score of 65 after struggling at the US Open.

He had a tough time at Pinehurst No.2, right after winning The Memorial Tournament.

Mental fatigue and swing issues were factors, but he made some changes that worked well at the Travelers.

Scheffler shot five-under with a round of 65, three shots behind Tom Kim’s eight-under 62. "I feel like I hit it nice," said Scheffler. "Found some swings or stuff in my swing earlier this week, and definitely swinging better than last week."

"It’s kind of hard to explain," he added. "But just getting a better feel from the top of my swing and making sure my grip is right."

His putting also struggled at the US Open until he switched to a mallet putter. At TPC River Highlands, his putting improved as he found it easier to read the greens compared to Pinehurst No.2.

"I struggled seeing the break on those greens last week," Scheffler said. "Had trouble finding the right line."

"I felt like I hit good putts that just didn’t go in," he continued. "It was frustrating but nice to be back on familiar surfaces and see some balls go in."

Reviving His Season:

Scheffler has already won five times this season but was mentally tired heading into Pinehurst after his win at The Memorial.

Fans might think it’s impressive how quickly he’s bouncing back from setbacks.

Some wondered if Pinehurst exposed weaknesses in his game despite being world number one this year. However, his recent swing adjustments seem promising as he aims for another victory soon.

What do you think about Scheffler’s chances for another win?
