Saquon Barkley Partners With Bryson DeChambeau for Golf Training

Fresh off winning the Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles, superstar running back Saquon Barkley isn’t taking it easy – he’s already set his next big challenge: breaking 80 on the golf course.

Just 48 hours after hoisting the Lombardi Trophy and setting an NFL rushing record, Barkley was thinking about his golf game.

“If I don’t break 80 this offseason… I gotta give up the game,” he posted on social media.

The 28-year-old isn’t alone in his golf obsession. More and more NFL players are trading their cleats for golf spikes as soon as their season ends. With months of downtime ahead, they’ve got plenty of time to work on their swing.

Enter Bryson DeChambeau. The former US Open champ quickly jumped at the chance to help, inviting Barkley to appear on his popular “Break 50” YouTube series.

“How about we just break 50 together,” DeChambeau suggested.

Barkley seems up for it, even if he’s a bit rusty after the long NFL season. “Just say the word!! I’m kinda rusty.. was a little busy ,” he replied.

It’s a pretty ambitious goal. Barkley currently plays to a 15 handicap, and breaking 80 isn’t easy for weekend warriors. But he’s got some serious advantages over your average golfer.

For one thing, he’s an incredible athlete in peak condition. He’s also got access to top-notch equipment, amazing facilities, and the best coaching money can buy.

Plus, getting tips from a two-time major winner like DeChambeau? That’s the kind of help most golfers can only dream about.

The collaboration would be huge for DeChambeau’s channel. Landing the NFL’s newest superstar fresh off a Super Bowl win? That’s guaranteed to bring in viewers.

We’ll be keeping an eye on Barkley’s progress as he trades touchdown runs for fairway drives this offseason.
