PXG Backs New Black Ops Iron with $100 Performance Guarantee

Do you think your current irons give you great distance and accuracy? PXG believes they have something better. They’re so confident that they’ll bet $100 on it. The new Black Ops Iron promises more distance and precision than your current set, and PXG is ready to prove it through the Black Ops Iron Challenge using Trackman 4.

Golfers can book a challenge spot at any PXG store or fitting location via their website. If your current irons perform better in terms of distance and average dispersion, you win $100 in the form of a PXG rewards card.

PXG had a similar challenge with their 0311 Black Ops driver earlier this year, which saw nearly 3,000 participants. They claimed a 98 percent win rate for the driver challenge, showing why it’s one of the best golf drivers released this year.

“We encourage every golfer to try PXG’s new Black Ops Irons,” said Bob Parsons, Founder and CEO of PXG. “These sticks are absolute game-changers, and we’re certain you’ll see exceptional results when you swing them. In fact, we’re so confident that we’re willing to bet on it.”

How It Works:

Bring your current irons to the custom fitting appointment. After warming up, hit five shots with your current 7-iron while data is captured using a Trackman launch monitor. The three best shots will be recorded.

Next comes the fitting for the PXG Black Ops Irons. Afterward, hit five shots with the fitted PXG Black Ops 7-iron. Again, the three best shots will be recorded and compared to determine which iron performs better.

After testing these new irons earlier this year, we were really impressed by their performance as true game improvement clubs from PXG. Their Dual Cavity design redistributes weight towards the perimeter to help with mishits while maintaining ball speed and stability. The inner cavity filled with XCOR2 Technology—a lightweight polymer—also aids off-center strikes.

Fans might think this challenge is an exciting opportunity to test out some high-quality equipment without any risk.

The ultra-forgiving design features a high-strength maraging steel face that’s extremely thin, creating more flexion for very fast ball speeds.

If you’re looking for new irons, this is a fantastic chance to try out some top-notch game improvement clubs. We believe you’ll be just as impressed as we were! Even if your current irons outperform these new ones, you’ll still walk away with $100 to spend on any other PXG golf club—be it a driver, wedge or putter.

What do you think about trying out these new clubs?
