The Americans started strong on Thursday, sweeping the four-ball matches 5-0. But on Friday, the Internationals hit back with a perfect 5-0 win in the foursomes.
Saturday featured two sessions of four-balls and foursomes, offering eight points in total. The US took three points in both morning and afternoon sessions .
Heading into Sunday with an 11-7 lead, the US needed just 4.5 more points to clinch victory. Xander Schauffele secured the first point for Team USA that day.
Fans might think this dominance is getting predictable.
Despite a tie and a loss in their next two games, Russell Henley and Patrick Cantlay delivered crucial wins (3&2 and 3&1 respectively). Keegan Bradley then sealed the deal with a narrow 1-up victory over Si Woo Kim.
