PING Launching New Junior Golf Tour in UK

PING to launch new junior golf tour in the UK.

PING is getting ready to start a new golf tour in the UK for young players between 6 and 21 years old.

This new event, called the PING Junior Golf Tour, will kick off in 2025 with two levels: ‘Rookies Tour’ for kids aged 6-12 without an official handicap, playing nine holes from forward tees, and ‘Masters Tour’ for those up to 21 with a WHS Handicap Index, playing a full round of 18 holes.

The idea behind this initiative is to give young golfers more chances to compete and have fun while exploring different courses. PING wants everyone to enjoy the game, no matter their skill level.

Expanding Horizons:

PING has been working with the Northern Junior Tour for 15 years and now plans to take this partnership nationwide. By doing so, they aim to create even more exciting opportunities for junior golfers across the UK. Fans might think this is a great way to inspire future golf stars.

Matt Clark from PING Europe shared his excitement about launching this tour in 2025. He praised Jason Budd and Mike Greener for building such a strong golfing community. Their efforts have made it possible for many young players to come together and enjoy the sport they love.

The tour’s goal is simple: empower young golfers both on and off the course by creating a friendly yet competitive environment. With events designed for all ages and abilities, PING hopes everyone can join in, have fun, and play their best game.

In total, there will be 20 qualifying events plus four major tournaments leading up to the Grand Final at Thonock Park in Gainsborough. This setup promises plenty of action-packed moments throughout the year.

What do you think about these plans? Are you excited about seeing more young talent on the greens?
