PGA Tour Q-School Players Earning Cards

Q-School is known for being super stressful, even for top players like Scottie Scheffler. After four intense rounds at Dye’s Valley Course and Sawgrass Country Club, six golfers have earned their spots on the 2025 PGA Tour. The mix of seasoned pros and fresh faces made it a thrilling event to watch.

As Sunday wrapped up, the cut was set at four-under-par, with Lanto Griffin, Hayden Buckley, Takumi Kanaya, Alejandro Tosti, Will Chandler, and Matthew Riedel making it through. Below is a look at these six players who secured their future in golf.

The final day was full of surprises as some players surged ahead while others fell back. Fans might think this lineup will bring excitement next season.

Lanto Griffin

Lanto Griffin had his big moment when he won the 2019 Houston Open. But 2024 wasn’t kind to him; he ended up 158th in the FedEx Cup Fall standings. Despite this setback, his experience shone through at Q-School with scores of 67, 72, 69, and an impressive 63. This left him nine-under-par and on top.

Hayden Buckley

Like Griffin, Hayden Buckley didn’t make the top 125 in the FedEx Cup Fall standings either. Yet he bounced back with rounds of 68, 72, 67, and another solid 67 to earn his place for the upcoming season. His best moment last year was two top-10 finishes but missed cuts were frequent—18 out of 29 starts!

Takumi Kanaya

Former World No.1 Amateur Takumi Kanaya showed off his skills with consistent rounds: 68, 70, 68, and a final round of 69 in Florida. Thanks to his five-under-par total from Japan Golf Tour success recently too—he’s now ready for PGA Tour action next year!

Alejandro Tosti

Alejandro Tosti didn’t let missing out on the FedEx Cup Fall standings get him down! He shot rounds of 71 ,74 (not great), then came roaring back with a fantastic finish: scoring both low-65 & low-66 cards! Fans might say he’s one fiery Argentinian golfer worth watching after that eagle at PGA Championship’s par-4 hole number thirteen last season.

Will Chandler

Despite finishing only eighty-fifth overall within Korn Ferry Tours’ rankings last year alone (ouch!), left-handed Will Chandler managed two excellent scores—67 followed closely by another stunning sixty-six—to secure himself among those heading onto bigger things come next tour season!

Matthew Riedel

Finally rounding out our list here today we find none other than young Matthew Riedel himself—a mere twenty-four-year-old who turned pro just earlier this same calendar year already showing promise beyond expectations by securing one coveted card spot despite ending poorly during Q-school’s concluding round (+two over par). What do you think about these new faces joining?
