Peter Malnati experienced the rollercoaster of golf emotions in just one hole.
During the Black Desert Championship’s first round, Malnati had a rough time on the fourth hole, showing us all how unpredictable golf can be. Despite a fantastic shot from 177 yards that ended with the ball in the cup, he summed it up with a simple “golf sucks.”
The trouble began with his tee shot veering right into lava rocks. His second attempt was no better, going far left. This meant he had to take five shots from the tee, which is not where any golfer wants to be. Golf can be cruel , but just when you’re about to give up, it pulls you back in with moments of brilliance.

Malnati’s third drive finally found its way down the fairway. Then came his incredible approach shot—landing perfectly and rolling back into the hole for a double-bogey six. Fans might think this is why they love and hate golf at the same time.
As he laughed off what happened, exchanging fist bumps with his partners, he remarked on TV, “Golf sucks so bad, that is the stupidest… Nice double!” It wasn’t just any double; it was an unforgettable six that captured every emotion golfers feel during a game.
