The PGA Tour has announced its 2025 season schedule, featuring 39 tournaments.
Starting on December 30 with The Sentry in Maui, Hawaii, the calendar year schedule includes eight signature events.
These key events are spread throughout the year: Pebble Beach Pro-Am in February, Genesis Invitational in March, Arnold Palmer Invitational also in March, RBC Heritage in April, Truist Championship in May, Memorial Tournament at the end of May, and Travelers Championship in June.
Jack Nicklaus’s Memorial Tournament returns to its traditional slot after Memorial Day due to his discussions with Jay Monahan. This change will likely please many players like Scottie Scheffler who felt fatigued last time.
Exciting Changes and Highlights:
The Players Championship remains a highlight in March. Fans might think this keeps the excitement high. The season features 18 full-field events and five additional ones.
The final event before the FedEx Cup Playoffs is again the Wyndham Championship at the end of July. The playoffs start with the FedEx St. Jude Championship and continue with BMW Championship and Tour Championship later in August.
Like this year, the season concludes with FedEx Cup Fall events determining top 125 eligibility for 2026. Details on this section will be shared later.
Jay Monahan commented on these changes: “The new schedule and competitive changes introduced in 2024 were significant steps toward creating the best version of the PGA Tour for our fans and players.”
He added that stronger fields and signature events gave fans more chances to see top players compete head-to-head. "Winning on the PGA Tour continues to rank among the most difficult and rewarding accomplishments."
