Open Championship Weather Forecast Unsettled

The weather at the Open Championship often plays a huge role in how the tournament unfolds.

At Royal Troon, we saw this when Henrik Stenson and Phil Mickelson finished way ahead of everyone else due to different weather conditions. This year, it’s been a rainy summer in the UK, so Royal Troon isn’t as dry and brown as it has been before.

Will it get firmer and faster? Probably not. Early week looks dry but "uncertain" weather is forecasted for the tournament. The R&A predicts "more unsettled from Thursday with spells of rain and stronger winds likely," meaning it’ll stay "changeable."

Temperatures will peak around 19°C (66°F) with winds at 10-15mph. Players might need layers and beanies since rain is expected all four days.

Fans might wonder if this unpredictable weather will affect their favorite players’ performance.

Last year was super wet at Royal Liverpool when Brian Harman won by six strokes under heavy rain on Sunday. But some players enjoyed early sun on Monday morning, so there’s hope for sunny moments too—fingers crossed!

Open Championship Weather Forecast:

Thursday: 17°C (63°F), light rain, moderate breeze
Friday: 17°C (63°F), light rain, moderate breeze
Saturday: 16°C (61°F), light rain, moderate breeze

What do you think about this year’s weather predictions?
