Nelly Korda wrapped up an amazing year by winning the top awards at the 2024 LPGA Awards. She snagged both the Rolex Player of the Year and Annika Major Award, given to the best performer in all five major tournaments.
With her second Major win at the Chevron Championship, Korda had a fantastic season, grabbing seven victories and earning $4.2 million in prize money. “It’s been crazy, it’s been such a fun year, full of ups and downs, but I am so, so grateful for my team sitting right here,” she said. “It’s been an amazing year and I’m so grateful to be doing what I love.”
Her season kicked off with a bang as she won five tournaments back-to-back, including her second Major title . By June, she had claimed six wins out of seven starts at the Mizuno Americas Open. Fans might think she’s unstoppable this year!

She added another trophy to her collection by winning The ANNIKA at Pelican just before the LPGA Tour’s season finale at Tiburon Golf Club—the CME Group Tour Championship—where she’s aiming for yet another victory.
The final showdown will see top female golfers battling it out for a huge $4 million prize and the Race To CME Globe Champion title.
Korda’s achievements don’t stop there; besides her Chevron victory, she tied for second at the AIG Women’s Open and finished T26 at Evian Championship but didn’t make it past cuts in both US Open and Women’s PGA Championship. These performances earned her even more accolades with the Annika Major Award.
For two years straight now, Americans have taken home Player of the Year honors thanks to Korda following Lilia Vu’s success last year—a feat not seen since Betsy King and Beth Daniel did it in 1993-94.
Lydia Ko also shined brightly this season by winning three times including AIG Women’s Open while taking Olympic gold in Paris! She was awarded Heather Farr Perseverance Award saying: “2024 has felt like a fairytale; one word—fairytale.” What do you think about these incredible achievements?
