Nelly Korda Reveals Chevron Champions Dinner Menu

Nelly Korda’s menu for this year’s Chevron Championship Champions Dinner is bringing a taste of her Czech heritage to Texas, with world-famous chef Thomas Keller running the kitchen.

The dinner, happening just three days before the first women’s Major of 2024, is one of golf’s coolest traditions. Just like at The Masters, winning comes with the perk of picking next year’s menu.

Korda earned this honor after her impressive victory last year, when she beat Sweden’s Maja Stark by two shots.

The menu’s looking pretty amazing. It kicks off with some fancy California caviar from Keller’s own Regiis Ova Caviar business, paired with a bigeye tuna tartare that’s got cucumber, green apple, and dill. There’s also a cream of mushroom soup loaded with fresh onions and garden peas.

But here’s where it gets really interesting.

The main course features a herb-roasted Wagyu filet with ghoulash sauce – a nod to Korda’s Czech roots. It comes with all the fixings: Greek salad, white asparagus, yam gratin, and mushrooms.

For dessert? Another Czech specialty called Ovocné knedlíky – they’re fruit dumplings topped with toasted poppy seeds and Tahitian vanilla glaze.

Last year’s champion Lilia Vu, whose menu celebrated her Vietnamese-American background, was blown away by Keller’s cooking at her dinner. “Oh, my God, last night was amazing,” she said. “Every single course that came out, he hit it out of the park. It was so good.”

The Chevron Championship starts just two weeks after The Masters wrapped up at Augusta, marking the beginning of Major season for women’s golf.

With Keller in charge of bringing Korda’s menu to life, this year’s Champions Dinner is shaping up to be another unforgettable evening.
