Nelly Korda Featured in 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue

Nelly Korda featured in Sports Illustrated's 2025 Swimsuit Issue.

Nelly Korda, the top-ranked golfer in the world, will be featured in Sports Illustrated’s 2025 ‘Swimsuit Issue’. Over the weekend, she announced this exciting news on Instagram with a photo of herself looking away from the camera. Many fellow athletes like Anna Nordqvist, Alison Lee, Brittany Lincicome, and her sister Jessica showed their support in the comments.

Recently photographed by Ben Horton for the magazine, Nelly posed on Boca Raton’s beaches in Florida. This location is just a short drive from her home in Bradenton. For her shoot, she wore a blue Yasmine Eslami bikini and a black one-shoulder swimsuit by LaQuan Smith. In some preview photos already shared by Sports Illustrated, she’s seen kneeling at the water’s edge without her usual golf cap.

Fans might think it’s cool to see athletes like Nelly stepping into different roles beyond sports.

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition:

The upcoming issue will not only feature Nelly but also Olympic gymnast Sunisa Lee and other famous female athletes. MJ Day, SI Swimsuit’s editor-in-chief, expressed excitement about showcasing these powerful women who are changing sports forever. “We celebrate women who break stereotypes and inspire young girls,” said Day.

Earlier this year, Nelly made headlines when she attended the MET Gala wearing an Oscar de la Renta dress adorned with poppies. She was the first golfer to be invited since Tiger Woods! Her year has been remarkable with six wins including a major championship at Chevron and earning LPGA Tour Player of the Year.

Despite all these achievements, Nelly hasn’t played since finishing fifth at September’s Kroger Queen City Championship due to a minor neck injury. She had to skip some events in Asia but plans to return before 2024 ends.
