Masters Feature Debuts at LIV Golf

The LIV Golf League has introduced a new feature called ‘Any Shot, Any Time’, allowing fans to watch every shot from their favorite players.

This feature is available exclusively on the app and showcased nearly 11,800 shots at Valderrama. Sergio Garcia won his first LIV event there, and his team Fireballs GC also secured victory in the team competition.

‘Any Shot, Any Time’ is similar to The Masters’ ‘Every Shot, Every Hole’ but with live coverage instead of delayed clips.

New Viewing Experience

LIV Golf’s media chief Will Staeger said: “Any Shot, Any Time is another example of LIV Golf delivering what golf fans have long asked for.” He emphasized that enhancing viewer experience is their top priority by making it more interactive and engaging. This innovation aims to revolutionize how golf is watched and shows LIV Golf’s commitment to using technology for the sport’s future.

Fans might think this new feature makes watching golf way more fun!

After testing it over several months, they had a soft launch in June at Nashville before fully rolling it out at Real Club Valderrama. The app lets fans choose which player or group to follow and can display up to four windows simultaneously. There’s also an option to replay any shot anytime.

Future updates will include searchable highlights from any round of any tournament. Additionally, plans are underway for a new Golf Companion App offering advanced stats and 3D aerial views of courses.

James Watson from LIV said: “Our league has been at the forefront of reaching new audiences.” He added that this viewing experience advances sports broadcasting technology for both new and old fans alike.

The next event starts on Friday, July 26th at JCB Golf and Country Club in the UK. It’s part of the 2024 season leading up to the Individual Championship in Chicago this September.
