LIV Golf is gearing up for the 2024 season, and as the Free Agency stage of the transfer window progresses, many teams are solidifying their line-ups for the upcoming season. Some teams, such as Crushers GC, Majesticks GC, Range Goats GC, Stinger GC, and 4 Aces GC, have already confirmed their rosters, while others are still facing uncertainty.

One team facing significant changes is Martin Kaymer’s Cleeks GC, following Bernd Wiesberger’s departure from the team. Wiesberger, who finished 41st in the 2023 individual standings, did not secure a contract extension and has decided to return to the DP World Tour. This leaves Kaymer in search of a replacement player, as the upcoming season rapidly approaches.

Additionally, Graeme McDowell, the 2010 US Open champion, is also facing an uncertain future with Cleeks GC. McDowell finished 42nd in the individual standings and has not yet re-signed with the team. He expressed his uncertainty, stating, “I feel like I’ve been a good spokesman for the league and a good ambassador for the tour and hopefully there is a captain who wants me on his team.”

Despite the departures, Cleeks GC has renewed the contract for Pat Perez, who will continue to play for Dustin Johnson’s 4 Aces GC in the upcoming season. Other players, including Matt Jones, David Puig, and Carlos Ortiz, are also seeking new teams or contract extensions.

One player who is confirmed to be returning to Cleeks GC is Richard Bland, who secured a new contract after finishing 20th in the individual standings. With the upcoming LIV Golf Draft and the Abu Dhabi tournament, there are still opportunities for Kaymer to solidify the team’s line-up for the 2024 season.

As the 2024 season approaches, Kaymer and Cleeks GC are looking to improve upon their 10th place finish in the team standings from 2023. With several changes to the roster, there is anticipation and excitement surrounding the upcoming season and the potential for new talent to join the LIV Golf league.
