Luke Donald Unveils Sergio Garcia’s Ryder Cup Dream

Luke Donald shares Sergio Garcia's Ryder Cup aspiration.

Luke Donald recently shared that he had a chat with Sergio Garcia about the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black. Garcia might rejoin the DP World Tour to become eligible for the event.

At an event in New York, Donald and Keegan Bradley confirmed that LIV golfers could be part of both teams. However, Garcia’s participation was uncertain after joining LIV Golf.

Garcia left the DP World Tour in May 2023, affecting his chances for the Ryder Cup. But now, he’s thinking about coming back and following all necessary rules to join again.

Possible Return to DP World Tour:

Donald mentioned they’ve had discussions, and if Garcia rejoins, he can compete in the Ryder Cup. This isn’t the first time this topic has come up; previously, Garcia tried paying fines to rejoin but was told it wasn’t possible.

Fans may wonder if Garcia will actually make a comeback this time around.

Earlier this year, on Rick Shiels Golf Show, Garcia expressed his desire to return to give himself a shot at playing in the Ryder Cup. Although it hasn’t happened yet, Donald says it’s still on the table.

Donald also talked with other LIV players like Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton about next year’s match. He praised Rahm’s performance in Spain and Hatton’s win at Dunhill last week. Communication with these players is key for him .

What do you think? Should Sergio make his way back or stay where he is?
