Ludvig Aberg is making a comeback at the RSM Classic after knee surgery.
Two months have passed since his last tournament, and now he’s ready to compete again. Last year, he claimed his first PGA Tour win at this event, but after finishing tied for 16th at the Tour Championship in August, he had to undergo surgery.
In September, it was announced that he had “arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn meniscus,” an issue bothering him since spring. He even withdrew from the Wells Fargo Championship as a precaution and wore a knee brace during May’s PGA Championship. Despite these challenges, Aberg managed several top 10 finishes throughout the season, including tying for second at the BMW Championship.
RSM Classic: A New Beginning
Now he’s back for the RSM Classic with fond memories of last year’s rounds of 67, 64, and two consecutive 61s that led to a remarkable 29-under-par total. His score of 253 matched Justin Thomas’s PGA Tour record for a 72-hole event.
Fans might be excited to see how well he performs after such a long break. The tournament also features players like Sepp Straka, Harris English, and Matt Wallace as they compete in the final FedEx Cup Fall Series event.
As players aim for top spots to secure their PGA Tour rights for 2025, excitement fills the air. What do you think about Ludvig’s return?
