LIV Golf has a new app feature for watching every player’s shots during tournaments.
Much like the Masters app, LIV Golf Plus now lets fans see any shot from any player at any time. This new feature is thanks to LIV’s partnership with Google and uses Google’s Vertex AI platform.
The Masters app was first to offer this kind of coverage, but it had a slight delay. Now, LIV’s version allows live viewing.
New App Feature:
James Watson from LIV said, “One of the great debates that people have had in the sport over the past 50 years is, I want to watch the star players versus one player versus the leaders.” He believes this feature will solve that problem by letting viewers check in on any player or team whenever they want.
Fans might think it’s cool because they can follow their favorite players live without missing a single shot. After months of testing, LIV rolled out this feature softly at a Nashville event and plans a full launch next month in Andalucia.
The app also lets fans customize their experience by choosing which group or player to follow and even watch up to four windows at once! Just like with the Masters app, users can click on scorecards for replays of earlier shots.
There are also plans for a new Golf Companion App that will provide advanced stats, 3D views of courses, and more fun stuff. Watson mentioned that their goal is to attract younger fans since research shows that’s how they prefer consuming golf content.
