LIV Golf has revealed the first four events for its 2025 season, starting in Saudi Arabia.
The opening event will be held at Riyadh Golf Club, moving from Royal Greens Golf and Country Club. This venue has hosted other big tournaments like the Aramco Team Series and Saudi International.
The first tournament runs from February 6-8, followed by LIV Golf Adelaide at The Grange from February 14-16. This event is super popular, drawing around 94,000 fans this year! Two weeks later, LIV Golf Hong Kong returns to Hong Kong Golf Club on March 7-9. Then it’s off to Singapore for the third time at Sentosa Golf Club from March 14-16.
Event Clashes with PGA Tour:
Interestingly, three out of these four events will clash with major PGA Tour Signature events but in different time zones. The Saudi opener coincides with the WM Phoenix Open. Adelaide goes head-to-head with the Genesis Invitational, Hong Kong competes against Arnold Palmer Invitational, and Singapore overlaps with The Players Championship.
Fans might think this schedule is quite bold and ambitious!
According to Bob Harig from Sports Illustrated, there will be five US events in a total of 14 for the season. The first US event is set just before The Masters.
Greg Norman said, “As we set our sights on 2025, LIV Golf is gearing up for our most ambitious season start to date.”
Since its debut in 2022, LIV has hosted 34 tournaments across nine countries and four continents. Norman added that they are excited about starting next season with four international events that combine elite golf with entertainment and culture for fans worldwide.
