The stage is set for the 2024 LIV Golf Promotions at Riyadh Golf Club, with all details now revealed.
Golfers from across the globe, including past champions and notable amateurs, are ready to compete.
This three-day event will take place from December 12th to December 14th, where 93 players vie for a coveted spot in the 2025 LIV Golf League.
Event Overview:
The tournament unfolds over four rounds of intense play. On the first day, 64 golfers from Category A battle it out over 18 holes. The top performers move forward to join Category B players on day two for another round. The final day is a marathon of 36 holes where everyone starts fresh at even par.
Fans might wonder who will rise to the challenge and secure their place in the league.
Greg Norman, LIV Golf’s CEO, expressed excitement about this year’s event: "Building on our first and highly successful LIV Golf Promotions in 2023, the interest has only increased this year as one deserving player will earn the chance to compete in the LIV Golf League." He emphasized how important it is to create opportunities for both current stars and emerging talents.
Winners not only get a league spot but also access to all Asian Tour-sanctioned events next year. Those finishing in the top-10 gain entry into these prestigious tournaments too.
Key Players and Format:
Some familiar faces like Branden Grace and Kalle Samooja aim to reclaim their spots after being relegated last season. Meanwhile, John Catlin and Ben Campbell hope for redemption after missing out previously.
Young talents such as Santiago De La Fuente and Max Kennedy add excitement to this mix of seasoned pros and rising stars. Among them are names like Tom Lewis and Chris Wood who bring experience from major tours worldwide.
In an unexpected twist, some big names like Anthony Kim aren’t participating despite finishing low last season—leaving fans curious about future appearances.
