Joel Dahmen is still in the game after sinking a crucial par putt at the RSM Classic to keep his PGA Tour hopes alive.
If that five-foot putt had missed, his future would have been uncertain, but now he has two more days and 36 holes to climb back into the top 125 of the FedEx Cup Fall standings.
“My story’s still not done,” Dahmen said, trying hard not to cry after finishing his second round.
Dahmen’s only PGA Tour win was at the Corales Puntacana Championship in 2021, and he’s determined to fight for his playing rights for next season. “I still got more to write this weekend,” he shared, knowing this opportunity means everything since he’s only managed one top-10 finish and missed ten cuts this year. Fans might think it’s a nail-biting moment for him.

A familiar face from Netflix’s Full Swing series, Dahmen started the week ranked No.124 in FedEx Cup points—right on the edge of keeping his tour card for 2025. Heading into the weekend, he’s projected at No.126, but his nerves of steel on that slippery putt show he’s ready for what’s ahead.
“Yeah, it was a great putt. I was very nervous,” Dahmen admitted about his last-hole heroics where he nearly overshot a birdie attempt by five feet. “It wasn’t the game winner; it was like a half-court shot before halftime.”
He’s hoping for smooth sailing over the next rounds—hitting greens with ease—but knows golf rarely goes as planned.

Meanwhile, Wesley Bryan began at No.125 but faltered late in his round and missed the cut; now he’s projected at No.127. Zac Blair also saw changes as he dropped to No.125 after failing to make it past Friday’s cut despite starting at No.123.
What do you think? Will Joel make it through?
