Joaquin Niemann Eyes $18M LIV Golf Title

Joaquin Niemann could win $18M LIV Golf title this week.

Joaquin Niemann is on the verge of a huge payday.

With just three rounds left, he could secure $22 million on top of his already massive earnings from the past six years. Niemann leads the 2024 LIV Golf League standings by nearly 25 points over Jon Rahm as they head into LIV Golf Greenbrier this weekend. Only two events remain before the Team Championship in Chicago, so time is running out for anyone to catch him.

If Niemann wins at Greenbrier and Rahm finishes third or worse, he will clinch the title. Even other outcomes where Niemann’s lead exceeds 40 points would seal it .

Big Earnings Ahead:

A win at Greenbrier means $4 million for Niemann. If he also tops the season money list, that’s another $18 million, making his total haul for 2024 alone over $36 million. He kicked off the year strong with victories at Mayakoba and Jeddah, each bringing in $4 million despite a poor result in Las Vegas (T30).

After those wins, he consistently finished in the top-10 without winning again but still earned significant paychecks. Adding his 2024 earnings to previous seasons, his total LIV Golf tally could reach almost $45 million.

Fans might think these numbers are just mind-blowing!

In 2023, LIV changed its policy so team winnings were reinvested into franchises instead of being split among members like in 2022. This change affected overall earnings but didn’t include the reported $100 million fee paid to Niemann when he joined LIV Golf in August 2022.

Niemann’s career earnings from PGA Tour-sanctioned events stand at $15,225,082 over a span of 124 events. Combining all these figures since turning pro in 2018 gives him potential career earnings nearing $160 million.

Even if Rahm overtakes him last minute this season, Niemann’s career earnings will still be around an impressive $130 million. What do you think about these staggering numbers?
