Golf’s equipment shuffle is in full swing for 2024, with some of the sport’s biggest names switching up their gear and signing fresh deals.
The biggest move so far? Max Homa is leaving Titleist after a decade to join Cobra Golf. He’s not just changing clubs – he’s getting a complete makeover with Puma shoes and Lululemon clothing.
Homa’s been with Titleist since turning pro in 2014, but now he’s joining Cobra’s roster alongside Rickie Fowler and Lexi Thompson. He’s already got Cobra’s new DS-Adapt LS driver in his bag, plus their latest fairways, irons, and wedges.
It’s not just Homa making moves.
Christiaan Bezuidenhout, currently ranked 55th in the world, looks to be joining PXG. He’s been spotted at The Sentry wearing their cap and apparel, and using their driver and wedges. Though nothing’s official yet – he’s still listed on Callaway’s website.
Rising star Akshay Bhatia is switching things up too. After his breakthrough 2024 season with two PGA Tour wins, he’s leaving Greyson to sign with TravisMathew for both clothes and shoes.
Some stars are staying put, though. Viktor Hovland, one of Europe’s Ryder Cup heroes, just signed a three-year extension with J Lindeberg. He’s been with the Scandinavian brand since going pro in 2019.
Speaking of J Lindeberg, they’ve just added French golfer Matthieu Pavon to their team. Pavon, who grabbed his first PGA Tour win in 2024 and finished fifth at the US Open, is moving over from Ping’s apparel line.
There’s likely more to come – the DP World Tour and LPGA Tour haven’t even started their seasons yet. We’ll probably see more players showing up with new gear in their bags and new logos on their shirts.
The golf equipment world is pretty busy right now, with players testing out everything from Callaway’s new Elyte range to Cobra’s DS-Adapt line. There’s even buzz about some yet-to-be-released clubs from TaylorMade and Ping being spotted on tour.
