The 2024 golf season has been full of amazing scores.
This week, the ISCO Championship made history with an eight-under-par cutline, the lowest ever on the PGA Tour.
At Keene Trace Golf Club in Kentucky, 66 pros and one amateur made it past this record-breaking cut.
Record-Breaking Scores
Pierceson Coody is leading at 16-under-par after rounds of 61 and 67. He’s ahead by two shots over Matthis Besard, Chez Reavie, and Rico Hoey who are all at 14-under-par.
Even though Casey Jarvis and Chesson Hadley shot six-under 66s on Friday, they still missed the cut. Tom Whitney also missed it by just one stroke despite a seven-under 65!
Fans might think these scores are getting out of hand! The PGA Tour’s records go back to 1970 when six-under was often enough to make the cut. That changed in 2020 but now it’s even tougher with an aggregate score of just making it to the weekend.
Michael Kim shared his thoughts on social media: “8 under cut at the Isco champ (sic) is craaazzyyy.” Despite his efforts with rounds of 71 and 67, he didn’t make it either.
