Happy Gilmore 2: Adam Sandler Begins Filming Sequel

Excitement is growing for Happy Gilmore 2 as Adam Sandler starts filming the much-awaited sequel.

Nearly three decades after his legendary 1996 Tour Championship win, the beloved golfer is making a comeback on Netflix, announced in May.

On September 9th, Netflix shared on social media that “Happy Gilmore 2 is officially in production,” and Sandler has already been seen back in character as the hockey player turned golfer.

No release date or plot details have been revealed yet, but we do know that Shooter McGavin, played by Christopher McDonald, will be back. Julie Bowen also returns as Virginia Venit, with filming happening across New Jersey.

Sandler has been spotted on a beach with just one golf club and even caught by fans who saw him shooting scenes right outside their homes. Filming locations include Farmview Golf Center’s mini-golf area and Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club in Bedminster.

Star-Studded Cameos:

Expect to see some famous faces from professional golf making cameos. NFL star Travis Kelce will also appear in the movie.

Kelce and his brother Jason got a sneak peek of the storyline when Sandler joined their New Heights podcast. “[Happy Gilmore 2] picks up from an older guy who’s played golf a long time,” Sandler shared about the plot.

“Some stuff goes on in his life; he’s different now. He’s kind of a mess when you meet Happy again. Then we try to get his life cooking again.”

Fans might think this news is super exciting because they love seeing their favorite characters come back to life after so many years.

With filming underway, everyone is eager for more details before its expected release in 2025. What are your thoughts?
