Golf social media sensation Grant Horvat just dropped some huge news – he’s teaming up with Rory McIlroy for his next video.
Horvat, who’s closing in on a million YouTube subscribers, shared a photo on Instagram showing him with his arm around the golf superstar. The video’s set to drop tomorrow at noon Eastern time.
It’s pretty amazing to see McIlroy joining Horvat’s channel, but he’s not the first big name to do so. Horvat’s been on a roll lately, filming with some of golf’s biggest stars.
He’s recently played against LIV Golf’s Sergio Garcia and Jon Rahm, plus PGA Tour stars Collin Morikawa and Tony Finau. The format’s always the same – Horvat starts five shots under par and tries to beat the pros.
But here’s where it gets interesting. Just a couple months back, Horvat and Phil Mickelson announced they’re launching a 2v2 series. In their announcement video, they actually named McIlroy as their favorite player. Talk about manifesting!
These collaborations are huge hits with golf fans. Horvat’s videos with pro players regularly pull in over a million views.
The 26-year-old YouTuber is having an incredible start to 2024. He kicked off the year by getting a golf lesson from Tiger Woods himself – yes, the 15-time major champion.
Off the course, Horvat’s making moves too. He just became part-owner of Takomo Golf, a Finnish club manufacturer. He’ll be using their irons and wedges going forward. The Bryan Bros, another popular YouTube golf duo, followed his lead and signed their own ownership deal with Takomo.
While we’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see what Horvat and McIlroy get up to, one thing’s for sure – it’s going to be worth watching.
