DP World Tour Reveals 2025 Global Schedule

The DP World Tour has announced its 2025 schedule, featuring a record prize fund exceeding $150 million.

With at least 42 events across more than 26 countries, the tour will see the return of the Turkish Open, Austrian Open, and Nedbank Golf Challenge. Several tournaments will also change locations, such as the Open de France, Irish Open, and Italian Open.

Players on the DP World Tour next year can compete for a massive $153 million prize pool outside of Major championships. The Rolex Series events remain part of the schedule, spaced throughout the year to maintain excitement.

Exciting Changes Ahead:

The new season kicks off on November 21 with the BMW Australian PGA Championship at Royal Queensland Golf Club in Brisbane. This season will feature ‘Global Swings,’ ‘Back Nine,’ and ‘DP World Tour Play-Offs.’ Guy Kinnings expressed enthusiasm about showcasing golf’s global reach through these phases.

Fans might think this is an exciting time for golf lovers with so many changes happening!

The Global Swings concept introduced recently has been well-received for highlighting diverse cultures and places visited by players. The return of national Opens in Turkey and Austria adds to this narrative in 2025. As seen lately with increased attendance and thrilling moments during ‘The Back Nine,’ there’s anticipation for building momentum into Play-Offs.

Returning tournaments include the Turkish Open at Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort from May 8-11 after a six-year hiatus since its last occurrence from 2013 to 2019. Shortly after that comes the Austrian Alpine Open presented by SalzburgerLand at Altentann Golf Club from May 29 – June 1; it’s back after missing out since 2021.

New venues are also joining next year’s action: The Italian Open moves to Argentario Golf Club in Tuscany from Adriatic Golf Club Cervia on Italy’s east coast. Meanwhile, during ‘The Back Nine’ phase, maintenance work causes a temporary shift for the Open de France from Le Golf National to Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche.

As for Ireland’s beloved tournament, it returns to The K Club after hosting in 2023; it previously welcomed Team Europe’s Ryder Cup victory back in 2006 and will do so again come 2027! A short break occurs late September when Team Europe heads over stateside towards Bethpage Black for their upcoming Ryder Cup face-off against America’s best golfers!

What do you think about all these changes?
