Canada’s national golf championship is happening at Earl Grey Golf Club in Alberta with top players competing for a record prize.
Last year, Megan Khang won her first LPGA Tour title in Vancouver, earning $375,000 from a $2.5 million purse.
This year, the total prize money has increased to $2.6 million, with the winner taking home $390,000 and the runner-up getting $245,246. Everyone in the top five will earn over $100,000 .

Who Are The Star Names In The CPKC Women’s Open?
Defending champion Megan Khang returns after beating Jin Young Ko in a playoff last year. Canadian star Brooke Henderson will attract most of the attention as she aims to repeat her 2018 victory on home soil.
Other big names include three-time event winner Lydia Ko and World No. 2 Lilia Vu who recently won the Meijer LPGA Classic.
Lilia Vu seeks another win this season while Rose Zhang and Hannah Green are also strong contenders. Lexi Thompson will be playing her 11th and possibly final CPKC Women’s Open before retiring from full-time professional golf at season’s end.
Former winners like Paula Reto (2022), Ariya Jutanugarn (2016), and Britney Lincicome (2011) are also competing.
