Charley Hull Withdraws from Aramco Team Series London

Charley Hull had to pull out of the Aramco Team Series London at Centurion Club early in the first round.

After playing just six holes, she withdrew due to medical reasons following a consultation with a physiotherapist. Sky Sports commentator Richard Kaufman mentioned that Hull had been feeling unwell on Wednesday, which led to her early exit from the tournament.

Hull was competing alongside Annabel Dimmock and Christine Wolf. As team captain, she picked Dimmock, her close friend, while Wolf and an amateur player were randomly assigned to their group.

Event Details:

The Ladies European Tour event runs from July 3 to July 5. It features 36 teams of three professionals and one amateur each. The first two days are for team play, followed by a final day shoot-out for the pros.

This London event is part of a five-stop global series, with upcoming tournaments in Asia in October and Riyadh in November. Fans might be disappointed about these withdrawals but still look forward to exciting matches ahead.

Hull’s withdrawal follows another high-profile exit: World No.1 Nelly Korda couldn’t participate after being bitten by a dog in Seattle last month. She stayed back in the US for treatment and recovery.

Alison Lee shared that Korda was attacked outside a random coffee shop by an unknown dog—a situation Lee could relate to since she was bitten by her boyfriend’s rescue dog ‘Bear’ earlier this year.

Lee said: “She asked me about my symptoms when I got my dog bite. Mine got seriously infected; I was hospitalized for three days.”

“But yeah,” Lee added, “it’s scary and unfortunate. She got bitten by a random dog at a coffee shop. I hope she recovers quickly.”
