Bubba Watson Debuts at Indonesian Masters International Series

Bubba Watson set to debut at the Indonesian Masters.

Bubba Watson, the two-time Masters champion, is set to play in the BNI Indonesian Masters soon.

He has played on the Asian Tour eight times before, finishing second twice, but this will be his first time competing in the International Series at Royale Jakarta Golf Club from October 31 to November 3.

The Indonesian Masters is part of a series that includes ten events in 2024, with winners getting a chance to join the LIV Golf League full-time.

Exciting Field Awaits

Besides Watson, other notable players like Danny Lee and Richard Bland will participate. John Catlin, who leads both the International Series and Asian Tour Order of Merit, is also expected to shine if he keeps up his great performance. Adding more excitement are players like India’s Gaganjeet Bhullar and Thailand’s Kiradech Aphibarnrat.

Fans might think it’s thrilling to see such a mix of golfers competing together.

Watson expressed his enthusiasm by saying he’s thrilled about playing in Indonesia for the first time. He loves visiting Asia because of its unique culture and diverse group of players. “The BNI Indonesian Masters plays a big part in The International Series,” he shared. “I’m proud of what LIV Golf has done for golf worldwide.”

After some time away from competition, Watson hopes to find his rhythm again on the Asian Tour.

In past tournaments like the 2012 Thailand Golf Championship and 2022 Saudi International, Watson finished as runner-up. However, this year in the LIV Golf League, his best was T15th in Las Vegas where his team RangeGoats placed third overall.

Despite ending up in relegation spots during LIV Golf’s Individual Championship round, there’s still a chance for him to return next year if he and his team choose so.

What do you think about Bubba’s chances?
