Bryson DeChambeau has had an amazing year.
He won his second Major at the US Open and inspired many people to start playing golf. Now, by the end of September, his YouTube channel is about to reach 1.5 million subscribers, even surpassing the PGA Tour’s channel.
While he leads in subscribers, the PGA Tour still holds a massive total view count of 1.7 billion compared to Bryson’s 188 million views. But hey, they’ve also made over 20,500 more videos than him!
DeChambeau’s YouTube Journey:
In 2024, Bryson’s channel grew rapidly thanks to his great performances in Major championships and fun content like the ‘Break 50’ series. In this series, he played with famous folks such as John Daly, Tony Romo, and even Donald Trump.
Back in May during the PGA Championship’s final round, his channel had just over 600k subscribers. He said that growing his channel helped him show more of his personality.
“I’ve worked really hard to have people hopefully understand who I am a little bit better. YouTube has been a great platform to help that out,” Bryson shared after finishing second at the PGA Championship.
“The Break 50 series is a lot of fun. I love doing it,” he added. “It’s a challenge that’s never been done nor accomplished without any strokes… It keeps my brain fresh and entertained.”
Fans might think it’s cool how he’s balancing winning trophies and entertaining them at the same time.
As of now, Bryson’s most popular video features Trump and has hit 12 million views! Despite surpassing the PGA Tour in subscribers, he still trails behind Rick Shiels by about 1.5 million subs.
