Bryson DeChambeau really wants to play for the USA at the Olympics.
Even after winning the US Open, he didn’t make it onto Team USA. The team includes Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Wyndham Clark, and Collin Morikawa because they are all ranked in the world’s top 15.
DeChambeau talked about this on the Pat McAfee Show after his win.
“Nothing would mean more to me than putting on the red, white, and blue for Team USA at the Olympics,” he shared on social media. He also mentioned how tough it was not being able to go last time due to Covid-19. “Hopefully one day this game of golf will get figured out and come back together,” he added.
Missing Out Again:
He said he’s playing great golf but is frustrated and disappointed about not making it. “I made choices that have consequences,” DeChambeau admitted. Fans might think it’s unfair considering his recent performance.
“But hopefully it’s sooner rather than later we figure that out so this great game of golf can move forward,” he continued optimistically.

His next shot at representing Team USA will be in LA 2028 at Riviera Country Club. This event will also feature a mixed-team competition for the first time ever!
Last time around, DeChambeau had to miss Tokyo Olympics because he tested positive for Covid-19 just a week before it started. Patrick Reed took his place instead.
“I am deeply disappointed not to be able to compete in the Olympics for Team USA,” he said back then. “Representing my country means everything to me.”
What do you think? Should Bryson have made it onto Team USA?
