Asian Tour Pro Aims for LIV Golf League Spot

Asian Tour pro determined to secure LIV Golf League spot.

John Catlin is on the brink of securing a permanent spot in the 2025 LIV Golf League, and he’s doing everything he can to make sure it happens.

This season, Catlin has played for three different teams in the LIV series, collecting points in half of his appearances and achieving his best finish with a T7th in Nashville. He also leads the Asian Tour’s International Series Rankings, thanks to his victory in Macau and a playoff loss in Morocco.

With six more events left this year, Catlin knows he can’t relax yet if he wants to keep competing on the PIF-backed circuit.

Chasing the Dream:

Despite being one of the top players on the Asian Tour this season, Catlin remains focused until that coveted LIV card is finally his. “I feel confident,” he shared before heading into the Black Mountain Championship. “You’re always trying to be better than you were before.”

Fans might think it’s exciting to see who will come out on top as these final events unfold.

The journey towards joining the LIV Golf League starts at Black Mountain Golf Club in Thailand—Catlin’s home course when he’s not stateside. He’s hoping that playing on familiar turf will give him an edge as he aims for more success.

“It’s great playing somewhere I’ve known for years,” Catlin said about Black Mountain. “I’ve lived here for quite some time now, so being back is always nice.” He added that being in good form only adds another layer of excitement for him this week.

What do you think? Will John Catlin make it into the LIV Golf League?
