Arccos has hit a major milestone by recording its one billionth shot since 2012.
The PGA Tour’s official game tracker now boasts 2.5 trillion data points from 20 million rounds played globally by its members.
On Sunday, July 21, Australian amateur golfer Jordan Cook made the historic shot at Beverley Park Golf Club in Sydney with an 8-iron from 145 yards out .
Reacting to this achievement, CEO and co-founder Sal Syed said, “One billion shots is a massive number, but it’s really just the beginning of the journey we are on to revolutionize the game by connecting every golfer and the entire golf industry to what’s happening on the course.”
Sal Syed believes that on-course data is incredibly valuable for golf. He says Arccos has made big steps in capturing this data accurately and using it to help both professional and amateur golfers improve their performance. “We’ve made huge strides toward capturing that data simply, accurately and at scale,” he added.
