Arccos Gen 4 Smart Sensors Launch With New App & Mapping Features

Golf tech just got a major upgrade. Arccos, the company behind one of golf’s most popular shot-tracking apps, is rolling out some pretty exciting changes that’ll make it easier than ever to improve your game.

Starting this March, you’ll see a completely new look when you’re out on the course. The app’s getting a fresh makeover that’s not just prettier – it’s also faster and smarter.

If you’re not familiar with Arccos, here’s how it works: You put tiny sensors in the top of your golf club grips, and they track every shot you take. The app then crunches all that data to tell you exactly how you’re playing, right down to how many strokes you’re gaining (or losing) in each part of your game.

But the really cool part? The new mapping system.

They’ve added high-resolution 2D and 3D views of each hole, and you can pinch and zoom to get a better look at what’s ahead. Think Google Maps, but specifically for your golf game.

“We wanted to create the smoothest possible way to track your game,” says Dave LeDonne, who heads up product development at Arccos. “This is just the start of what we’ve got planned for 2025.”

The company’s also launching new Gen 4 Smart Sensors. They’re coming in two colors – Green (available February 18th) and Smoke (March 18th) – and will set you back $249.99 for a pack of 16. That’s enough for your whole bag plus a couple spares, and they’ll replace any broken ones for free.

These aren’t just random upgrades – they’re backed by serious data. Arccos has tracked over 1.2 billion golf shots and has collected trillions of data points from more than 22 million rounds.

The system’s so good that the PGA Tour uses it as their official game tracker. Even pros like U.S. Open champ Matt Fitzpatrick and Ryder Cup vice captain Edoardo Molinari are on board.

For everyday golfers, this means getting the kind of detailed feedback that used to be available only to the pros. Pretty amazing what technology can do for your golf game these days.
