The 2024 Presidents Cup will take place at Royal Montreal Golf Club in Canada, featuring Mike Weir’s International Team against Jim Furyk’s Team USA.
Since its inception in 1994, the US has dominated with 12 wins out of 14 editions. The International Team only managed one win in 1998 and a tie five years later.
Twelve players are selected to challenge this record, with six qualifying based on world ranking and the rest chosen by Weir.
Adam Scott stands out as the most seasoned player on the team, having played ten times since his debut in the 2003 tie. With 21 points under his belt, he could become the top scorer for the Internationals if he earns just half a point more this year.
Hideki Matsuyama is another key player with extensive experience. Debuting in 2013, he has accumulated seven points over five appearances. He enters this event ranked seventh globally after a strong comeback in 2024.
Jason Day returns to the team for the first time since 2017. He has made four previous appearances and earned five points. This year, Day aims to make up for lost time after participating in the Olympics and securing four top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour.
Sungjae Im is making his third consecutive appearance, while Si Woo Kim joins him with experience from both 2017 and 2022 matches.
Tom Kim also brings valuable experience from his debut in 2022 where he scored two points. South African Christiaan Bezuidenhout debuted at Quail Hollow and returns alongside Byeong Hun An who played in 2019.
Newcomers Min Woo Lee and Mackenzie Hughes round out the team as rookies eager to prove themselves.
